Is aromatherapy for me?
Therapeutic aromatherapy has a place in every wellness toolbox. I have served a diverse population ranging from infants to the young at heart. Overcoming anxiety, trauma, hormonal imbalance, physical pain, and improving memory and retention for testing are common applications to support the spirit, mind and body.
What I Do
Listen
How we feel is never isolated. From our emotions, physical body, mental cognition even the environment and more, we are complicated beings that need to unravel what is going on inside when we don't feel our best. Every consultation, regardless of intention, follows the same proprietary process. We start together by gathering the information your body is giving you consciously and unconsciously through a short questionnaire and in-depth discussion.
Assess
Once the initial information is gathered the essential oils are identified that may be of benefit. I utilize 5 different methods of narrowing down therapeutic oils from a collection of over 300 different aromatics. These distinct approaches used together create a synergy to the blend that customizes the therapeutics to you. Techniques include chemistry and research on the components of each oil, aromatic notes (the perfumery model), plant part, energetics and elements of basic Chinese medicine.
Blend
The first two steps involve much science, but the beauty is in the art of blending. Creating a ritual that is pleasurable as well as restorative starts with deciding what type of application is the most convenient and enjoyable for you. Whether you prefer a roll on or body butter, lotion or spray, every base product is hand crafted with the highest grade, organic ingredients before any essential oil is added. Once your aromatic blend is created, the oils are added to your customized base. Together we fashion a unique, beautiful and effective product that will become a treasure in your day!
